There are three main types of reproduction. They are as follows:

Sexual Reproduction : Reproduction that happens due to the fusion of the male and female gametes sexually is called sexual reproduction. Here two parents are involved.

Asexual Reproduction : Reproduction that happens by the degeneration of the parent body into two or more daughter cells is called as asexual reproduction. Here single parent is only involved.

Vegetative type of reproduction : Reproduction that happens in the vegetative parts of the plant is called vegetative type of reproduction. Some of the vegetative parts are leaf, stem, root, etc.

These are the types of reproduction.
