One of the most important activities of the university/school is the development of curriculum/course outlines in consonance with the national & international demands & realities
Explanation:
Accordingly, the curriculum is an educational and educational programme that allows students to fulfil their objectives , values and ambitions for life. It is curriculum by which the "general aims" of a "school education" obtain concrete expression.
Vision and Mission of Curriculum
- The programme should represent the life's complexities . In other words, in curriculum framing, the programme should take into account the goals and objectives of schooling.
- The programme should be adapted to the child's actual desires, preferences and skills. This means that the programme must be child-centric since contemporary education is child-centered.
- Children should be aware of the different environmental activities surrounding them and in what way these activities allow people to fulfil their basic needs for food, housing, clothes, leisure, health and education.
- Subjects should be organised objectively and mentally in conjunction with the evolving desires of the child. Subjects can not be determined on the basis of their disciplinary importance, but on the basis of their inherent value, societal significance and usefulness.
- The programme must be presented in such a way that each person will provide an opportunity for self-expression and growth. The programme should be based on the psychology of "individual differences", which will satisfy the complexities of contemporary democratic society.
- The programme should include events and interactions that may promote the regular creation of the programme. Of course, the curriculum for girls must be different from those for boys; boys & girls have different attitudes and needs
- The relative importance & validity of each subject in the curriculum must be assessed & determined in the light of the available time in the timetable, which is known to be the "mirror" of the school programme.
