There are three types of plate boundaries:1.Divergent 2.Convergent 3.Transform plate boundaries.

Divergent Boundaries:When two tectonic plates move away from each other.Along these boundaries earth are common and magma (molten rocks) rises from the earth's mantle to the surface solidifying to create new oceanic crust.

Convergent Boundaries:Where two plates are colliding subduction zones occur when one or both of the tectonic plates are composed of oceanic crust.

Transform Plate Boundaries: Natural or human made structures that cross a transform boundary are off set split into pieces and carries in opposite directions.

The answers for your question are Divergent Boundaries, Subduction and transform Boundaries.

  • Divergent boundary is a linear feature between two tectonic plates which are moving outwards. The divergent boundary is responsible for the creation of rifts and rift valleys.
  • The subduction is a process that takes place at the convergent boundary. Here the tectonic plates will move under the force of another and eventually sink into the mantle because of the gravity.

  • The transform boundaries are type of tectonic plates that slide passes each other.
