These forests are found in the equatorial regions ie; between 23 and a half degrees north and south.
The forests are thick and dense with evergreen trees. Evergreen trees do not shed all of their leaves at one specific time and thus remain green all through the year.Since the trees here are evergreen the forest is also green all over the year. The trees are so closely situated in the forest that they form a canopy of leaves in the firest. There are also deciduous trees ( trees that shed their leaves once a year) .Due to the canopy layer of trees not much sunlight reach the bottom of the forest. Thus a large number of creepers and climbers and many other small plants are found to grow here as they do not need much sunlight to grow.Compared to all other types of forests the tropical evergreen forests have the largest variety of flora and fauna.
eg: Amazon Forest.
