Villi are the tiny finger-like projections which is located in the wall of small intestine..

LOCATION:
The walls of the small intestine

FUNCTION:
*They increase the surface area for absorption of the digested food.
*The blood vessels present inside the villi can absorb the nutrients from the digested food

Function of villi:-

increase the surface area for absorption

The villi are richly supplied with blood vessels which take the absorbed food to each and every cell of the body, where it is utilised for obtaining energy,building up new tissues and the repair of old tissues.
