The conclusion we get from the fact that when an object is placed in the path of light a shadow is formed in the morning, in the afternoon, and in the evening is that obaque objects always obstruct light irrespective of the position of source.

1. Fundamentally, an object that does not allow light to pass through it, known as an obaque object, will form a shadow.

2. Shadows are formed by light, when light in incident on an object, and the object blocks the light.

3. The light tends to go sideways from the object, and therefore, a dark spot in formed in the place of the object, known as shadow as light can only travel in straight lines and cannot bend across an object.
