when stomatal pores are open then it takes carbon dioxide and opening and closing of stomata is controlled by guard cell.

guard cell control the opening and closing of stomata.......when water flows into them.....guard cell swell , causing the stomatal pore to open......similarly..the pore closes if the guard cell shrink.
