Miss Sullivan gifted helen a canary bird for the first christmas they celebrated together. Once Helen went out without locking the canary bird's cage. When she returned she found out that the canary was missing as she examined the cage by leaving her hands inside the cage. She concluded that cat would have killed the canary.
