the the Persian were unlikely empire builders but in relative story span of year they conquered more of the near east. they benefit from the leadership of a series of a shrinking and from a lack of competent leaders among their neighbours.the expanded very quickly stood and shaky ground for a few hundred years under internal and external pressure and their collapse suddenly and utterly despite their accomplishments and the breath of their influence our knowledge of persians is surprising limited.
