In the context , Chief Seattle states that the god of the white settlers was partial if they were one ( identical or same) .He was holding the hand of the white settlers and leading them to the path of prosperity as a father would naturally do .The white settlers were on the verge of expansion and prosperence but he had deprived the red children freedom to prosper and have their rights of land which belonged to them he also deprived the of love and affection and care they should have got. . He had abonded them . They were declining day after day and were like the scattered trees after a storm swept . He had forsaken them in hour of need which if he was their God would never have done . His people were ebbing away like a receding tide and would never return . Hence , He gave the white settlers his preference and left alone the native red Indians.
