Sher Singh is a boy living in a village with his younger brother Kunwar and parents. One time his father was away from home. His younger brother fell seriously ill. He needed medical care.
Then Sher Singh and his mother decided the he would take Kunwar to the hospital in the nearest town Kalaghat. It was 50 km away. She would look after the farm in the village and do household work. She could wait for the return of his father.
So they tied a sari of his mother so that Kunwar could be carried by Sher Singh. Though it was a difficult thing to do, he was determined to do it.
