Stem cells are cells of body which regenerate and can give rise to cells which form different tissues, organs and systems in the human body....

They divide and remain either as stem cell or become specialized into different cell types such as muscle cell, RBC or nerve cell.....

Stem cells are cells in our body which  has the capacity to regenerate and  form different tissues. This property is called totipotency.   They are found in in the 8 celled stage after fertilization and in bone marrow of adults.    They have the capacity to form different kinds of specific tissue like bone tissue, blood cells, muscle cells etc.    They can keep dividing and remain as stem cells until they get signals to become a specific cell type.
