In the poem "The inchcape Rock" ,abbot aberbrothock is a Central character of story, who places the inchcape bell on the perilous rock or inchcape rock which was a disaster for a ship's which passes from there. When there was a high tide in the sea then the bell which was placed on the buoy before the inchcape rock start ringing which give the sailor the information that there was a problem they could not see in the high tide so it helped to the sailor to get warned about the perilous rock or the dangerous rock ,and they blessed the abbot of aberbrothock for the deed which he has done. But sir ralph the Rover who was not happy for the blessings which the abbot of aberbrothock get ,one day cuts the inchcape bell from there and at the end of a poem we find that Sir Ralph the Rover find himself in such a situation that he need the bell which abbot of aberbrothock has placed.
By the whole story we can conclude that the abbot of abrebrothock has placed the bell not for his own need but only to help the other sailor to save their life from the previous rock ,the abbot of abrebrothock has a good character.
