what do u mean by original jurisdiction and appelate jurisdiction

The basis difference is that the original jurisdiction refers to the authority of the court to take up and hear the case first hand. We can say that it means conducting the heating or trial at first hand.
While the Appellate Jurisdiction means the hearing of the case as any appeal. And this appeal can be coming from any orginal court of jurisdiction.
