The battle of plassey took place between the rular of Bengal, nawab Suraj - ud - daulah and the English east Indian company under the leadership of Robert Clive.

The battle of Buxar was fought on 22 October 1764 between the forces under the command of East India company led by Hector Munro and armies of Mir Qasim, nawab of Bengal.
