An Entrepreneur is a person who is responsible for setting up a business or enterprise. The process of such creation excretion is called entrepreneurship. The entrepreneur is the actor and entrepreneurship is the act. The outcome of the actor and the act is called enterprise.
Types of entrepreneurs according to Danhof are as follows :
(1) Innovative entrepreneurs :
These entrepreneurs introduce new products and production techniques.
They are very aggressive in nature and exhibit their intelligence to put the ideas into practice.
(2) Imitative entrepreneurs :
These intrapreneurs adopt or copy appropriate innovations made by innovative entrepreneurs. They are very adaptive and flexible in nature.
(3) Fabian entrepreneurs :
These intrapreneurs are the second generation entrepreneurs in a family business enterprise.
They are generally risk avoiders in nature and do not start a new venture.
(4) Drone entrepreneurs :
These intrapreneurs refuse to take new golden chances that come their way. They like to follow a traditional approach. They are also known as laggards.
