what do you mean by fuse

fuse is like a mini circuit breaker in a bulb .it works uniquely.once it is overloaded with high voltage it goes off...

Fuse is a safety device connected to the circuit in series prevent overloading or short circr. It is made up of a metal with low melting point which melts and breaks the circuit in case of overloading.
