So, Irrigation is nothing but providing water to the crops.

There are many ways of irrigation.

following are widely followed in india:

Cut /break method: Water is left in field without any control or guidelines.

Lease method: similar to above but here water is put on plates having plants.

Drip Irrigation method: In this method water is supplied through small pipes with holes. Those are aligned in such way that they only give water to plant.

Sprinklers/ Shower method : In this method water is supplied in the form of shower using sprinklers.
