Symptoms are evidences that point to the presence of disease. They are visible in the form of structural and functional changes in the body or body parts. They indicate that there is something wrong in the body. On the basis of symptoms the disease are identified by the doctors, physicians etc.

Symptoms of AIDS are :
Weight loss, sweating at night, loss of memory etc.

Symptoms of Hepatitis B(Jaundice) are:
Loss of appetite, high temperature, head ache, dark yellow eyes, etc.

When a disease manifest itself in the body it express itself by certain signs. The signs associated with certain disease are termed as disease symptoms. For example symptoms of jaundice are yellowish color of skin, nails and fever.
