What do you think china is a democratic country ?

One of the main things in a democracy is the presence of opposition.


Some believe its role is more important than the ones in power.


In case of China, there is only one party which contests in election and other smaller parties have no major resources or legal help to form the government.

Here are the some statements that proved it :

There is only a single political party (The Communist Party) that wins the election and forms the government. There may be some other parties too but they have to take permission from the main party to competing in elections. But we studied in the basic principles of democracy that everyone should be free to compete the election. Democracy also offres choice between the representatives but there is nothing like that. Citizens of China just have a single option. So, there helding election are just a formality.
Hence, we can say China don't have a democratic government.
