The narrator say that a person should take only those things on the trip which are essential and needed there. He advise those people who load their boat with unnecessary and useless things. He then become philosophical and comment on the boat of life. He think that the boat of life should be light it should be full of simple pleasures. A person should have one or two friend, someone to love and someone to love him and a cat ,a dog, a pipe or two, enough food, sufficient clothes and drinks. Then he will find the boat easier to pull he will never get upset in life. He will have enough time to think as well as to work. He will be able to listen the Aeolian music and enjoy life.
