jago grahak jago basically means consumers should be aware of their rights. when a consumer is buying a commodity then he is investing his hard earned income so it is his right to not get cheated by fraudulent ways .no doubt consumer courts are there for redressal but awareness to the fraud happening and things to be kept in mind to skip from them is needful. hence this is a programe by govt that makes ads related to it .
some of the popular advertisements are
see isi hallmark while buying any commodity
green dothallmark for veg things brownish red for non veg etc
these are the examples related to "jago grahak jago" campaign
at last to conclude it tells basically that prevention is better than cure
