its been 2 years I read that book but I remeber Bassanio says to Antonio that her fame is spread throughout the world when he tells antonio how he will return is money by asking 2nd loan.
also inspite of the thing the suitor cannot marry if he fails many suitors try their luck this indeed shows that her fame was spread throughout the world
