It refers to the presence or absence of an protein called the rhesus antigen on the surface of your red blood cells. So if your blood type is A+, B+,AB+ or O+, it means you're positive for the rhesus antigen. And if your blood type is A-, B-,AB- or O-, it means you're negative for the rhesus antigen.

Hope this will help you ✌

Answer:

Hey mate answer of your question is given below by me.

Explanation:

Rh phenotypes are identified by identifying the presence or absence of Rh surface antigens.

Besides its role in blood transfusion the Rh blood group system is used to determine the risk of hemolytic diseases of the newborns.

People with Rh negative blood will show serious transfusion reaction if they receive Rh positive blood.

Immunisation against Rh can generally occur through blood transfusions or placental exposure during pregnancy in women.

I hope it can help you.
