The Younger brother, Jacopo, asked the Narrator if he could send the two boys in his car to Poleta. He asked this because he thought the narrator was very kind.

As the narrator asked the two brothers if there was
anything he could do for them before leaving Verona he would be very glad. The
younger brother requested him to take them to Poleta in his car. He might have
asked this favour because every Sunday they went to Poleta on bicycles. It was
30 Kilometers from Verona and must be very tiring. Nicola did not want this
favour; however, when the narrator insisted he would really like to take them
to Poleta in his car, he agreed to it.
