What happen when ethanol is heated with excess concentrated sulphuric acid at 443 kelvin

This reaction is dehydration reaction. In this reaction conc. H2SO4 acts as dehydrating agent.
Ethene(C2H4) and water(H2O) is released

When ethanol is heated with excess h2so4 i will give ethene + water.


C2H5OH ================> C2H4
