Borax is the salt resulting from neutralisation of boric acid with sodium hydroxide so addition of an acid just reverts the salt back to boric acid.

Na2B4O7 + H2SO4 + 5H2O = 4H3BO3 + Na2SO4

Hope it will help you.

Answer:

On adding a calculated quantity of concentrated sulphuric acid to a hot concentrated solution of borax, boric acid is produced. On heating borax with ethyl alcohol and concentrated sulphuric acid , vapours of triethylborates are produced. When ignited these vapours burn with a green edged flame .
