Indian National Congress started raising their voice against British Government for many things including use of Indian grounds as military base against Burma, Tibet etc.
The session of 1927 was organized in Madras and presided by Dr. Mohammad Ali Ansari.
Following resolution taken in Delhi session of 1921 regarding foreign policy, a resolution was passed by INC to protest against the use of the Indian Troops in China, Mesopotamia and Persia.

The Congress (42nd Session) was held in 1927 in Madras. It was here that for the first time the Congress called for Purna Swaraj, or complete freedom, with Jawaharlal Nehru moving the Independence Resolution.
1.The Bardoli Satyagraha that took place in the state of Gujarat, India during the period of the British Raj, was a major episode of civil disobedience and revolt in the Indian Independence Movement.It was led by Vallabhbhai Patel.
2. In 1925, the taluka of Bardoli in Gujarat suffered from floods and famine, causing crop production to suffer and leaving farmers facing great financial troubles.
3.The Govt. has also raised the taxation rate by 30% without paying any heed to the occurence of calamities. The situation for the farmers was grave enough that they barely had enough property and crops to pay off the tax.
4.The Congress leaders started the protest as they found the increase in taxation rate to be unjustified.
5.A no taxation campaign was started under the leadership of Patel where the peasants decided not to pay the taxes. By August 1928, massive tension had built up in the area.
