Rate of breathing increases as during vigorous exercise more oxygen is needed to break down food and release energy but to insufficient supply of oxygen incomplete breakdown of food takes place producing latic acid which causes cramps

Heya..!
Here is or answer..!

When we exercise and workout vigourously or climb up a high mountain, pur breathing rate becomes faster. This happens because as we exercise, our body needs more and more energy to workout and needs plenty of oxygen. This can only be done when the respiration rate is faster.

Thus, the rate of breathing becomes faster while doing vigorous workout and exercise.

Hope it helps..!
