what happens when aluminum is added to NaoH

Al is amphoteric in nature, so it can react with both acid and base. On treatment with NaOH, Al gives sodium aluminate salt and hydrogen gas. The reaction is highly exothermic.

aluminium is also react with acid and base and than in the presence of NaoH it's released hydrogen gas ( exothermic)........
