What happens when the ray is perpendicularly falling on the prism? ​

Answer:

When it falls normally(perpendicular) to the surface of a prism, it would go straight until the next surface. But when it reaches that surface, then there could be two possible cases. Either it would suffer total internal reflection. And then fall out from the third surface.
