Porpoises are fast they have been clocked at 30 miles per hour, overtaking and keeping ahead of some of the faster liners. Scientists have found that this speed is partially due to their skin, which is supported by spongy mass of tubes and column. his resilient material permits the entire Body surface to undulate according to water turbulence.
