what invention would i see to in my life time

My primary worry in life is death caused due to cancer and the lack of suitable medicines to treat most cancers. On diagnosis,I hate to hear people being told they have a limited time to live as death is imminent in the not too distant future. Therefore, during my lifetime I'd like to see medicines being invented to cure all forms of cancer just as antibiotics have alleviated the suffering of human beings through pioneering research.
