In Protista group flagella is made up of Tubulin protein and this type of pattern is known as (9+2) pattern of microtubule organisation

In flagella the microtubules are arranged like the rim of the cycle. There is the sequence in which the nine pair of the tubules are arranged like at the periphery of the rim and the two tubule are present at the center of the rim. All of these pair of the tubules are connected to each other and with the pair of the tubule that is present in the center of the structure.
