it is a fluid between the nucleus and the cell membrane.it contains all the cell organelles.

cytoplasm is a fluid content present between the nuclear membrane and the plasma membrane all the cell organalles are embedded into it.
function of cytoplasm are as follows :
(1) cytoplasm is the site of many biochemical reaction that are vital and crucial for maintenance of life.
(2) the cytoplasm is the place where the cell expands and growth of cell takes place.
(3) cytoplasm provide a medium for the cell organalles to remain suspended.
(4) it also aids in the movement of different cellular elements.
(5) the enzyme in the cytoplasm metabolize the macromolecules into small parts so that it can be easily available for the other cellular organalles like mitochondria.
