It should be mentioned that in the parliamentary democracy the role opposition parties are equally important like ruling parties but they have to play responsible role. They will have to detect the major mistakes of the govt and will suggest to the govt for remedial measures and will participate in debate .They should point out the mistakes and wrong acts and in case of good works they should appreciate the same. They should not act in such a manner that the parliaments are suspended and the normal proceedings are suffered in any circumstances. As far as our country is concerned very unfortunately even after seventy years it seems our parliamentary democracy is at an early stage. Most of the days they parliaments are run without any business. The speakers at different times appealed to the members for smooth functioning of the parliament and to enable the speaker to conduct the business of the parliament according to schedule.Another most important point needs worth mentioning that only a small number of both from Govt side and opposition Parties take part in debates .The most painful thing is most of the members are sleeping and during their entire parliamentary carriers do not utter a single word while huge expenditure are being incurred for them . Besides very often it is noticed that the poor attendance of the members for which the Speakers express their annoience to the respective party leaders and also to the memembers . The last point must be mentioned that our country is very poor and a large section of people are BPL card holders while the members being people represatives get huge benefits both in cash and kind and the same are unthinkable and unbelievable .The funny thing in this point the members both from ruling party and opposition Parties p proceed together for the benefit of their own without any minimum hesitation while they always claim that they are only after poor and common people.Typographical errors are regretted.

1. To criticise the policies, plans, bills and laws which, in accordance with them, are against the common people's welfare. They should highlight the negative points of these. The opposition should clear out its stand on each and every issue concerned with the people. It helps in smooth working of the parliament.

2. Leader of opposition has a key role during working of the house. Moreover, it has a signified role as a member of selection committee for appointment of bureaucrats like Chief justice, Directors of Central Institutions, etc.He is also a represents opposition in JPC( Joint Parliament Commission ) and all party meeting.

3. To have a tight view on distribution of the budget by Govt. and if any scam is found, then reveal it out in front of nation.
