Electrons revolves around a nucleus of atom in a cicular like path similar to our planets in solar system. The electron shell are named as K,L,M,(Starting the innermost shell)
number of electrons that can accommodate in a shell is given by a formula 2n² [where n is the position number of the shell]
For K n=1;L n=2
Maximum no. electrons that can be present in L shell is 2n² = 2×2² = 2×4 =8 (Your Answer)
