Answer:

A synovial joint, also known as diarthrosis, joins bones with a fibrous joint capsule that is continuous with the periosteum of the joined bones, constitutes the outer boundary of asynovial cavity, and surrounds the bones' articulating surfaces. The synovial cavity/joint is filled with synovial fluid.

In Synovial Joint, the ends of articulating bones are covered with aa thin layer of cartilage. The entire Joint is covered with a tough synovial capsule. The cavity of the Capsule contains Synovial Fluid. Synovial Fluid acts as a lubricant to reduce friction between the bones.Synovial Joint is further reinforced by strong and elastic ligaments outside the synovial capsule. These ligaments help in bringing the articulating bones back to their normal position after movement.
