Allegory is a speech figure, describing abstract ideas and principles in terms of characters, figures, and events.
- Telling a story may be used in prose and poetry, with the purpose of teaching or explaining an idea or a principle. The object of their use is to impart a sort of moral lesson.
- For Example - Romeo and Juliet. In the story, the Christian imagery suggests that the love of Romeo and Juliet can be read as an allegory to the connection of people with God or Christ.
- The allegory also applies to the connections within the families as described in Capulet and Montague buildings.
