electroscope is a device which is used to measure the charge
it is a such device which measure the charge on a body.
it consists of gold foil which connected to the earth because to make the electroscope neutral.
the diagram of electroscope is given with the attachment:-
when somebody touches the steep of gold , Aluminium foil. the foil present inside the container Rises.
to neutralize its effect we touch our hand at the upper of the street with the barefoot.
this is done because to neutralize the effect of charge on the electroscope.
