2 generally the covalent compounds are liquids or gases since the kinetic energy of the molecules easily overcomes the weak intermolecular forces between the covalent compounds.

3 they have low melting and boiling point as a small amount of energy is sufficient to overcome the weak electrostastic force of attraction.

4 they have less density as the exist in liquid or gaseous form due to weak intermolecular forces and hence the no. of mlecules per unit is less leading to low density
