Atomicity is the total number of atoms present in one molecule of an element, compound or a substance. For example, in O2, there are 2 atoms of oxygen.

Of sulphur is 8, because atomicity is defined as no. of atoms in a stable molecule. Like, oxygen molecule is O2 and hence its atomicity is 2. Similarly Sulphur occurs in 2 states being S8 and S6. ... Hence its atomicity is 8.

The atomicity of Chlorine is 2. It means that it exists in Cl₂ form only. Atomicity is the number of atoms in a molecule of a substance.
