Biological Diversity

Biological Diversity refers to all the verity of life that can be found on earth for example : Plants , animal, fungi etc as well as to the communities that they form and habitats in which they live.

Biological Diversity is understood at three labels-

  1. Species diversity refers to the variety of different species for example : Plants , animals, fungi etc.
  2. Genetic diversity corresponds to the veriety of genes contained in plants , animals fungi etc. It occurs within a species as well as between species.
  3. Ecosystem diversity refers to all the different habitats or places that exists as : tropical or template forest, hot and cold deserts, wetlands reverse etc.
