the pressure applied by blood on the wall of the blood vessels is called blood pressure.

It is measured by sphygmomanometer

systolic pressure example is 180/100

Diastolic pressure example is 120/100
may be I am right

rishireddy1104: no if suppose ur bp is 120/80 systolic pressure is 120 and diastolic pressure is 80
rishireddy1104: bt anyways thankx
riddhimaan: thanks for comment
riddhimaan: i am sorry for my mistake
rishireddy1104: its okay

what is blood pressure?
When your doctor takes your blood pressure, it's expressed as ameasurement with two numbers, with one number on top (systolic) and oneon the bottom (diastolic), like a fraction. For example, 120/80 mm Hg. The top number refers to the amountof pressure in your arteries during the contraction of your heart muscle.
how is it measured?
Blood pressure is measured using two numbers. The first number, calledsystolic blood pressure, measures the pressure in your blood vessels when your heart beats. The second number, called diastolic blood pressure, measures the pressure in your blood vessels when your heart rests between beats.

If the measurement reads 120 systolic and 80 diastolic, you would say “120 over 80” or write “120/80 mmHg.”

The chart below shows normal, at-risk, and high blood pressure levels. A blood pressure less than 120/80 mmHg is normal. A blood pressure of 140/90 mmHg or more is too high. People with levels in between 120/80 and 140/90 have a condition called prehypertension, which means they are at high risk for high blood pressure.
