what is Bunsen burner how can we use it

It is  a burner which is used to heat so something like mg, calcium etc  in experiments

Burner is a common device used in laboratory and consists of following parts

✫ Base:

It is a heavy metallic disc made of iron and brass.The main function of base is to keep the burner in a stable and upright position

✫Nipple:

A metallic screw called nipple is filled just at top of base. It is generally made of brass

✫ Burner Tube:

It is a long metallic tube about 10-15 cm in length.It has two holes opposite to each other near its lower end,which serve as air holes

✫ Air Regulator:

This is a metal ring with two holes which can be turn around the tube at base to regulate the air supply in tube
