Ans- These are those tissue which have the power of division and they keep dividing continually to form new cells.

There are three types of merismatic tissues:-

1.)Apical Tissue - Present at the tip/ Apex of root and shoot .

2.) Lateral Tissue - Present at the sides of root and shoot.

3.) Intercalary Tissue - Present at the base of leaves and nodes.
