The rhythmic contraction and relaxation of the chambers of the heart that corresponds to one heartbeat is called cardiac cycle.
It has two phases :-
1). Systole
2). Diastole

Cardiac cycle is the kind of cycle or the process in which the human heart's performance from the finishing of 1 heart beat to the starting of the next is counted.

This cycle includes 2 stages or periods -

1. Diastole : In this period, the muscles of heart gets relaxed and the blood gets refilles in the artrial chamber.

2. Systole : Here, both contraction as well as pumping of the blood occurs.
