➲ Diseases cat can spread from one person to another are called communicable diseases. Communicable diseases are caused by microbes such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoa. Such disease-causing microbes are called germs.

Droplet infection: Germs are present in the nasal passage of the infected person. When the person sneezes or coughs, the germs are released into the air, along with mucus and saliva.
