Answer:
- A convex lens is a type of lens its covered form inside.
Example:
- Telescope.
- Flash light.
- Even our human eye is one of the best explain of convex lens as our eye is just in the same modle.
Two imp. types of lens:
- Concave lens.
- Convex lens.
- If a leans is concave least it will have once curve surface indie it.
The lens is like this:
- Human eye = Same as Convex lens.
Types of convex lens:
- Plano - convex lens,
- Concave - convex lens,
- Double convex lens.

Answer
- A lens that is thicker at the middle than at the edge is called convex lens.
Some more information about Convex lens
- A concave lens can form real as well as virtual image.
- If the image is real, it is inverted .
- If the image is virtual ,it is erect .
- The size of the image is smaller for objects beyond 2F equal in size for object at 2F and larger in size for object between 2F and the lens. ( where F stand for Focal length).
- The focal length of convex lens is always positive and that of a concave lens is always negative in this convention.
- The Power of Convex Lens is positive.
- Convex len is also called converging lens because parallel beam of light incident on a convex lens converge on the other side of convex lens.
- Mathematical relations
For lens 1/v - 1/u = 1/f .
Magnification of lens m = hi/ho = v/u
power of lens P = 1/f
where
v is the image distance
u is the object distance
f is the focal length
m is the magnification of lens
hi is the height of image
ho is the height of object
P is the power of lens
