- Transmission of genes from mother to son or father to daughter.
- Here, character is inherited to second generation through carrier of first generation.
- It is shown by sex-linked diseases.
- Examples of criss-cross inheritance are color blindness, hemophilia, Duchene muscular dystrophy and Becker muscular dystrophy.
